About Me
My name is Eleanor and I am the one who is creating with my needles and saws.
Needle History
Honestly, I have too many hobbies. I have sewn nearly all of my life. My mama taught me to sew at a young age. As an adult, when I began wearing the Christian Headcovering, I decided to offer coverings for sale. Over the years I have done so off and on.
For a small side income with my sewing, I had also ran Covered4Him until I sold the site when I was too busy to run it anymore. My children were very young then and I just didn’t have time. The sister who purchased the website, ran it for a time, but then decided to discontinue it for her own reasons.
Mostly from here I just dabbled in a bit of sewing here and there and making veils for Etsy.
Where do saws come into this story?
In 2020, my husband and I couldn’t find a carpenter or handyman to make us a set of steps for the home we had purchased. So my husband bought the tools, and I got to learn what I could about rough carpentry. I had watch my Dad being quite the jack of all trades while growing up, and I felt like I could possible tackle those steps. My husband and son dismantled the old ones, and I built some new ones.
This sparked a love of working with wood.
Because I am a homeschool Mama, the idea of learning woodwork to teach my children lit a flame within me. I began learning to use any many tools as I could. I even learned some basic plumbing and electrical. It saved money around the house and it was very thrilling to learn.
The woodwork is especially satisfying. In using a trim router to carve signs and I have found that I just love that particular form of making sawdust. So I decided to add woodwork to my offerings available for sale.
I needed to move back to running a website of my own, as I had only been lightly selling on Etsy the last few years. So I decided it was time for some changes.
This new combined venture needed a new name. So I decided to create Needles and Saws YouTube channel and this Needles and Saws website. The youtube lets me share as I learn and this site lets me share what I make.
Other Hobbies
I also have a website for my photography work.
Yet another hobby I have is drawing and painting. That hobby I have no present intentions of making any websites for because my art is one area I don’t want that stress. It is a protected outlet for me.
I told y’all that I have too many hobbies!
I will share the links to the various socials and sites below.

I also started a youtube channel for reasons of faith and to talk about headcoverings, as well as being a Christian wife and mama.
